I was in the paper last week

I completely forgot to post about the story in the paper about alternative menstrual products last week. It was the biggest story I have ever seen in a mainstream paper, plus it has been printed by several other papers now. Women's health and alternative menstrual products are pretty big issues for me so I was extremely excited to see such a long article in a mainstream paper. Anyway, if you would like to read the story it is here. Also, I have added a link to the keeper site to my blog if you are interested in finding out more about keepers and mooncups.

Nice article! I got a Diva cup and have used it once so far. I don't find it particularly comfortable yet, but I'll try again.

I was reading the article and it says "...most young women start with pads and experiment with tampons sometime after seventh grade." I said, out loud in an empty room, "SEVENTH GRADE?!?!", remembering that I was 12 and 13 in 7th grade and that I didn't get my period till I was 16. I guess that just further proves it's a different experience for all of us (and that I'm lucky ;).

16? Desirée, you are way lucky. I was 11. Ugh.

Robyn, when you posted this on myspace and I read the article, it got me thinking about getting a diva cup and trying it out. I like Instead, so maybe this would be similar.

It's wonderful your store is getting attention for filling a niche in our city. I got the Divacup at your store, and I've really liked it. Congratulations on the story.
