Okay, I had Philip taking pictures of me in the skirt, but he didn't take any I liked. Since I can't take pictures of myself wearing the skirt you will have to settle for the skirt on the floor. It looks square in the picture, but it actually has more of an A-line. I think that I still might replace the buttons with ties, but I'm going to wear it a bit first.
On the knitting front, for the last few days I have been knitting these weird state dish cloths. I started because I have a bunch of leftover cotton in various colors from my touring days and I figured at least dish cloths are useful. I made one for Virginia and one for Kentucky and I have enough cotton for at least 7-8 more so I will be going wild over the next few weeks. I also plan on making the cigar gloves from the new knitty for Philip. I am buying the needles on Friday and this will be my first attempt at gloves so wish me luck.
I LOVE THAT SKIRT! Yes, it rocks enough for all caps! Oh, and the gloves!!! I missed those when I looked at the current issue and they're really great! What yarn do you think you'll be using?
I am using 2 balls of inidentified yarn that was given to me. I have no idea what it is or what it's made of. Kinda scary, but I have to work down my stash.
that is a rockpants skirt. i love love love it!!!! did you just make up a pattern? its wonderful.
The back panel is a simple A-line and the front two panels are the right 2/3 of the back panel and the left 2/3 of the back panel. Does that make sense?
I just love the rocket pocket skirt!! It is wonderful! I would have loved to see a picture of you wearing it! I'll bet it looks very nice! Philip will just adore the cigar gloves!! You are just too clever by half! love you bunches, Sally
Would love to know more about the "weird state dish cloths". Where did you get the pattern?
I got the state dish towel patterns here. They are just stockinette stitch towels with purl stiches creating a raised pattern.
