OMG I won a house!!

A couple of months ago I was on the Readymade Web site trying to figure out when the next issue was going to come out and there was this button to enter a contest for a modular home. I pushed the button and filled in all of the fields and today I received a letter informing me that I won, a house. I was completely shocked, who wins a house? It came with a copy of the rules and a legal affidavit that I have to sign and return. The house is 600 square feet so it is pretty small and I do have to have some land to build it on. I am hoping the building can be used as a low-cost spay/neuter clinic. Anyway here is the site that shows what I won (it is the building on the right, not the huge one on the left.) I would show you my surprised look, but Philip still has the camera.

Oh My Friggin'Gosh!!! That is to awsome!!! Congrats!!...and to top it all off, you guys will have the crem de la crem of kitchens..."Kitchen Aid" I'm so loving it!

On a not so exciting note...I forgot to send the pattern with the yarn I sent you...Since you work at a library, you can check out "Weekend Knitting"...It's the flower power washcloths.

I also should mention that it was super wonderful as well as interesting being your secret pal...who knew that I would ever get to know a "vegan" knitter...I had fun.

Not sure when we are suppose to reveal our identity (as you probably have figured it out by now??) If no, let me know.

I must have read your mind because I knew the yarn was for the flower power washcloths and I was planning a trip to the library this morning to grab the book.
I think that you are the author of wicked stitches (which rocks), but if not you will have to give me another clue so I can do some sleuthing.
I will post about the package (which I recieved last night) today. You have been a super duper secret pal! *robyn

Wow that's crazy!! I just won a copy of Stitch N Bitch Nation but that's nothing (well, no, it is really something but still) compared to your news! Where do you think you will put it?

If I can't donate the house for a spay /neuter clinic because of the taxes my dad is going to check into some lots of land for me. The biggest obsticle that we are going to face is that we prefer to live in the downtown area and we refuse to live in suburbia where all of the land seems to be. My dad thinks he knows where a couple of lots are close to downtown Lexington and if that is true I am going to try to buy one and smack the house down there. I'll have to take out a loan for the taxes and the land, but that will be cheaper than buying a house and 600 square feet will force us to minimize our belongings which is a really good thing. This is the worst time in the world for all of this to happen since we are getting really to make a huge change in our lives (to be announced on Monday) and this just adds to the chaos.
