I love knitting shawls, but they are a garment that I rarely wear. On the other hand, I hate knitting scarves, but wear them all through the winter and the fall. The shawlette is the perfect compromise- knit like a shawl and worn like a scarf. That added to my sudden weakness for ruffles drew me to Coquille from Knitty. I knit it with 2 skeins of Noro Silk Garden sock (another weakness) on US2.5 and Us9 needles. The pattern is super simple, but the short rows can get a little annoying, I taught myself to knit backwards so that I could avoid constantly turning the piece.

Do you have one of those "follow" things? Like, I want to follow your blog, 'cause I really like it (I'm an avid knitter myself). 'Kay, bye. Mackenzie
Love your colors for this. I like your idea of knitting backwards for short-rows. Will have to try that next time.
