The Southside Slouch

To celebrate ReBelle's 6th anniversary as well as our move to the southside, Sarah and I dyed up several skeins of anniversary yarn which will only be available in the shop today. I also created this simple slouch hat to accompany the yarn with slipped stitches in the back to accentuate the slouch.

The Southside Slouch

16 sts = 4” in Stockinette stitch on larger needles

Yarn: 1 Skein ReBelle Anniversary Yarn (or 100g of worsted weight yarn)
Needles: 16” US6 and US9 circular needles, US9 dpns

w3- slip 3 sts from right needle to left needle, bring the yarn forward between the needles, slip the three stitches back onto
the right needle and move yarn to the back again going between the needles.

On smaller needles CO 76st, pm and join for knitting in the round.
Work k2, p2 ribbing for 10 rnds.
Rnd 11: *k1, m1, k3, rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 12: Switch to larger needles, knit.
Rnd 13-15: sl3, knit to end.
Rnd 16: k3, w3, knit to end of round.
Rep rnds 13-16 until piece measures 8” and then start crown decreases.
Crown Decreases:
Rnd 1: *k3, k2tog, rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 2 and all even rnds: knit.
Rnd 3: *k2, k2tog, rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 5: *k1, k2tog, rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 7: *k2tog, rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 9: *k2tog, rep from * to last 3st, k3tog.
Cut tail and pull through all remaining stitches. Weave in ends.

I think I am not doing something right with the W3-slip 3. Do you have a close-up photo because mine isn't looking like yours?!

Please help this novice knitter.

The second image on the Ravelry project page is an up-close of the stitch. Hope that helps. http://www.ravelry.com/projects/spingirl/the-southside-slouch
